Our Story

Our History

Our journey begins in December 2009 at Pasir Gudang, Malaysia, following the merger between Malaysian leading cocoa manufacturer, Guan Chong Berhad ("GCB") and a local chocolate producer in Kedah.
With an eye to expanding export market, the manufacturing site has been moved to today's location, Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) in view of its status as a Free Trade Zone and its strategic location at the southern tip of the Straits of Malacca. The relocation provides cost advantages and better access to transport facilities. Following the move, production capacity has expanded to nearly 11,000 tonnes per year.

Welcoming a New Identity

Fuji Oil Asia Pte Ltd ("FOA"), a regional headquarters of the Fuji Oil Group, has combined forces with GCB and introduced FGC as a joint venture subsidiary in August 2016, with FOA having a 72.25 percent ownership of FGC.
In recognition of the outstanding sales achievement, we have been officially inaugurated as a wholly owned subsidiary of FOA later in February 2020. Our company was renamed what is now known as Fuji Global Chocolate (M) Sdn. Bhd. ("FGC").
